The Sewcial Bee Sampler Sew-Along: Block 16!

SBS Block 16 King's Crown

It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another block release of the Sewcial Bee Sampler sew-along!

Sharon Holland and I are co-hosting this community sew-along now through early August and as usual, I like to begin each Wednesday by reminding folks just learning about the bee that it's never too late to jump in! We continue to have new participants joining us each week, the blocks typically take about an hour to male, so feel free to join us and play catch-up at anytime! I also love to continue to encourage all who join us to keep posting to Instagram with #SewcialBeeSampler tagging both @sharonhollanddesigns and myself @maureencracknell when you post anything SBS so we can all see and easily keep track of all your wonderful bee block posts. We'll continue to try our very best to visit with all who join the sew along. Thank you so much for making this so much fun!

Today's free download is for block #16: King's Crown. This morning both Sharon and I posting a little early since we're both currently on our way to St. Louis for International Quilt Market and we had to write our  posts a little early. I'll be sure to add this new pattern to my Sewcial Bee Sampler Page with the previous week's patterns, so you can easily find everything you need right in one place! Simply click on the link or the image below to be directed to this week's new SBS pattern!

Week 16 SBS Block: King's Crown!

For my version of this week's King's Crown block, I used three Nightfall prints -- Bird of Night Mist, Luminaries Silver, and Moon Stories Spark with What Awaits Profoundly from Fleet & Flourish, framed in AGF's Soft Sand Linen. I think this is my favorite combination of fabrics that I have used for an SBS block so far! I love the purple and have been on such a purple kick these last couple of weeks sewing with my next collection, Soulful, as I prepare for Spring Quilt Market.

King's Crown Block & Fabrics

This is the second block I have made with a fussy cut owl and I LOVE it! My owls are a little too tall to include the complete owl in the center of the block, but I don't mind at all. I think it still looks perfectly cute and has me convinced that I really need to make another quilt full of owl quilt blocks, they're so much fun!

    Hello everyone, I am Evans Torttor from USA and want to use this medium to express gratitude to MIKE LARRY for fulfilling his promise by granting me a loan, i was stuck in a financial situation and needed to refinance and pay my bills as well as start up a Business. I tried seeking for loans from various loan firms both private and corporate organisations but never succeeded and most banks declined my credit request. But as God would have it, i was introduced by a friend named Esther to MIKE LARRY LOAN FIRM and undergone the due process of obtaining a loan from the company, to my greatest surprise within 48hrs just like my friend Esther said, i was also granted a loan of $387,000.00 USD; So my advise to everyone who desires a loan, "if you must contact any firm with reference to securing a loan online with low interest rate of 3% and better repayment plans/schedule, please contact MIKE LARRY LOAN FIRM. Besides, he doesn't know that am doing this but due to the joy in me, i'm so happy and wish to let people know more about this great company whom truly give out loans, it is my prayer that GOD should bless them more as they put smiles on peoples faces. You can contact them via email on {}

  8. If you need urgent credit for the solution of financial needs, we can offer loans between $3000 and $80.000.000. Max, reliably, efficiently, quickly and dynamically with loans guaranteed 100%. In the case of interest rates, the interest rate on loans (5%), please contact us by email at
